Where the Soul Never Dies

Where the Soul Never Dies was written by William M. Golden in 1914. Little is known about Golden, but his best known songs are this one and A Beautiful Life (Each Day I’ll Do a Golden Deed). Both feature call and response vocals in the verse and refrain and have become bluegrass gospel quartet standards.

The vocal harmonies make this song a lot of fun to sing, and the Travis-style guitar accompaniment just gives it a little extra bounce.

Where the Soul Never Dies was included in DisciplesNet worship #148.
